2009年10月16日，上午8:19，我从三角洲航空公司的靠窗座椅上瞥了一眼南美。我很高兴和放松，因为（幸运的是）我没有任何人坐在我旁边的过夜飞行。智利的棕色，滚动的山脉和海岸线是我所能看到的，随着我们变得更低，清晨的戏剧性阴影使山脉看起来更加明显和美丽。当然，我的相机被存放在头顶隔间中，所以我无法捕捉到这一惊人的景象，但是请相信我，它很漂亮。

After landing 35 minutes late, I didn’t have a lot of time to really enjoy the fact that I had finally made it to South America (yay!) because I had to immediately try to make my connection that would get me down to Patagonia. Here are my “in the moment” musings as I wrote in my journal:

“非常紧张。30分钟以支付入口互惠费。护照评论。海关。什么？！我没有得到表格？几乎流泪。几乎。有人在混乱的海洋中帮助我的书包 - 他合法吗？是的。 Found check-in and -SUCCESS-! Made it w/ time to spare (The plane was late boarding)… It’s amazing how it all worked out!”

当我们上空的那一刻，我看到了左边的雪山。安第斯山脉，我想？我知道我们要朝着正确的方向前进……巴塔哥尼亚！我在南美！
